The City of Norfolk is partnering with the community to bring meaningful public art to the Kindred neighborhood. Please vote by June 6 for your two favorite artists you’d like to see create art installations at key public and community spaces in the Kindred neighborhood, including the neighborhood entry on Tidewater Drive, Freemason Street and the Church Street Plaza. About the Project

This public art initiative is part of the Critical Community Improvements (CCI) Plan, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and has been developed in collaboration with the St. Paul’s Transformation Cultural Trail Advisory Committee and the Norfolk Arts Committee. The plan is projected to includes six public art projects and a special community mosaic, all thoughtfully integrated throughout the Kindred neighborhood.
